It’s
the biggest party of the year in Sandbridge as well as the biggest
fundraiser for the Sandbridge Volunteer Rescue Squad! This is the 43rd
year of the highly-anticipated event, which draws hundreds of people
from near and far.
This year, you can dance to the music of The Hotcakes Band, dine on delicious barbeque and sides from Beach Bully and
check out the wares from dozens of vendors. Top it off with a beer
truck and a wine tent and an ice cream truck to boot. Now that’s a
party!
Thanks to the Sandbridge Volunteer Rescue Squad, your
emergency ambulance ride is free. Virginia Beach has the largest
volunteer-based EMS system in the country and they rely on donations to
continue this free care. The Sandbridge Rescue Squad has been in
operation since 1974 and responds to over 1,000 emergency calls a year.
